Who am I?
My name is Katrien Anthonissen. I was born in Belgium and I am now living in the beautiful nature of Sweden. .

Interior design and architecture have always been a great passion for me, since I was a little girl. I pursued this in my studies diligently. In 2005 I obtained a Bachelors degree in Interior Design at the Katholieke Hogeschool Mechelen (A highly regarded school for interior design in Belgium).

Shortly after that I started working for the biggest furniture manufacturer in the world, IKEA, in the kitchen department. This was my first occupational experience with designing kitchens, which are now my specialty. Here I learned how to best serve the clients and design the kitchens of their dreams using the company’s internal software.

My next opportunity arose when I was offered a position as an interior designer and kitchen saleswoman at a well known kitchen store in the North of Belgium. This company specialized in making custom made kitchens, bathroom furniture, work furniture and closets. In this job I was able to work with the clients on a more individual and personal basis. I guided the clients throughout the entire process of designing and buying custom made kitchens. (Or other custom made furniture.)

In January 2008, my partner was offered a very good job in Sweden. So, now in addition to studying the Swedish language and taking care of our son, I fill my days with designing and visualizing kitchens, interiors and architecture on a freelance basis.
